Services offered in the country
  • Center for the Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Assets of Castilla y León: will offer access through the ArchLab platform of the Archive of the Center for Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Assets of Castilla y León”, which includes scientific analysis data and restoration reports of a wide variety of cultural assets.
Archive of the CCRBC of Castilla y León
  • National Accelerator Center (CNA): this national infrastructure includes a fixed installation, «Ion Beam Analytical techniques: Tandem 3 MV and Cyclotron» for the non-destructive multi-elemental characterization of metal alloys, ceramics, glass, stone materials, bone, ivory , paints, inks, etc., and a mobile laboratory, «XRF and other portable non-invasive techniques for Cultural Science» .
Ion Beam Analytical techniques: Tandem 3MV and Cyclotron
  • Centro Nacional de Investigación sobre la Evolución Humana (CENIEH): it will make its collections « Osteological and lithic reference collections » available to users on the ArchLab platform ,   from the MoLab platform it will be possible to access the « Cartography » laboratory (cartography, reconstruction analysis of geological and archaeological elements), and from FixLab to the laboratories of «Geochronology» (dating of rocks, fossils and sediments) and «Material characterization» (with a wide collection of analytical techniques for the characterization of archaeological, paleontological materials , anthropological and geological).
  • Higher Council for Scientific Research (CSIC)
    • National Center for Metallurgical Research (CENIM): the CAPAC group  makes the MoLab   «METAL.es. In-situ metal electrochemical studies for heritage science”, for the in situ study of the characteristics and behavior of metal surfaces and evaluation of protective coatings using electrochemical techniques.
METAL.es. In-situ metal electrochemical studies for heritage science
    • Institute of Geosciences (IGEO, CSIC-UCM): makes available the « Petrophysics Laboratory» for the analysis and characterization of stone materials – natural and artificial – used in built heritage, as well as in their diagnosis and in the evaluation of measures of conservation. It is a laboratory specialized in non-destructive techniques.
      Petrophysics Laboratory
      Petrophysics Laboratory
    • Rocasolano Institute of Physical Chemistry (IQFR): the LANAMAP group offers its facilities as FixLab, «IQFR-CSIC-Laser laboratory for Heritage Science«, to address problems that arise in the field of Heritage Sciences through the application of methodologies and laser techniques. With these facilities it is possible to non-invasively analyze and diagnose materials without taking samples and apply advanced laser cleaning methodologies. Pulsed lasers are available, operating in different spectral ranges and pulse durations, and laser spectroscopies applicable to samples, substrates, and objects, including laser induced breakdown spectroscopy (LIBS) and laser induced fluorescence (LIF) spectroscopy. and Raman spectroscopy (in individual configuration or as a hybrid system). There is also a non-linear optical microscope that can work in the second and third harmonic generation regime (SHG).
