This month, the GoGreen consortium hosted its last event to celebrate the end of its project. The international conference focused on Sustainable Conservation – Green Strategies and Innovations for Cultural Heritage Conservation.
A theme very close to E-RIHS’s mission and of great interest to its community.
The GoGreen project was founded in 2022 by the European Commission to promote green thinking and daily standards in conservation and to introduce new approaches and technologies to the field of conservation and beyond.
E-RIHS was represented at the final event in Venice by the Chair of the Committee of National Nodes and Slovenian node coordinator, Polonca Ropret. This participation highlights a close collaboration between E-RIHS and the GoGreen project coordinated by Katrien Keune, also a member of the E-RIHS Scientific and Ethics Advisory Board (SEAB).
GoGreen’s core objective has been to initiate a green revolution by reinventing conservation practices towards environmentally friendly and human-healthy solutions.
Thanks to the long list of results and goals achieved over these years of activity, GoGreen has raised awareness of the green strategies to adopt in cultural heritage and created new foundations to further development in the field.
E-RIHS and its community are interested in exploring these outcomes and following up on the discussion.
