The 2nd edition of CTinHS – Current Topics in Heritage Science by HS Academy is started.
Following the success of the first edition 2022-2023, we are pleased to announce the Current Topics in Heritage Science edition 2023-2024, which was kicked off on Thursday 26 October at 4 pm.
The events take place in the traditional form of 45 minutes broken down into:
➢ 30′ Presentation
➢ 15′ Questions & Answers
You can follow the events online, through the Zoom platform and after the registration.
The lectures are organized and presented by a team of emerging professionals working on several heritage science projects.
In the #01_2023 Lecture, we met one of the experts in Optical Tomography for Cultural Heritage, Dr. Piotr Targowski, who spoke about “Optical Coherence Tomography for examination of artworks“.
Piotr Targowski is a PhD, DSc, physicist and professor of optics at the Institute of Physics at Uniwersytet Mikołaja Kopernika w Toruniu, he is also the current president of the Polish Node of E-RIHS.

The #02_2023 Lecture will be held on November 30 at 3 PM. We’ll meet the researcher Dante Abate who will speak about “AI in the loop: enhancing cultural property protection activities through intelligent methods“.
