The next appointment with the joint event E-RIHS & JPI will be held on November 14th, 2023.
On Tuesday November 14th, at 3 pm, we meet the researcher Cristiana Nunes, and we’ll speak about the JPI-CH project CONSECH20 “Conservation of 20th-century concrete cultural heritage in urban changing environments”.
CONSECH20 is a European research project, supported by the JPH-CH Heritage in Changing Environments programme, which aims to develop new approaches in the architectural heritage field. It started in 2019 and finished in mid-2022.
A focus was given to buildings with social interest to strengthen the link between society and the 20th-century architectural heritage: develop approaches for the conservation and protection of the 20th-century heritage concrete buildings against the ever-changing urban impacts, considering both technical and social aspects.
The speaker, Cristina Nunes, is a researcher at the Polytechnic of Leiria (Portugal) with a PhD in Civil Engineering. She is a member of the RILEM TC BEC and RILEM TC PEM Scientific Committees. Other information about her professional experience includes: 2003–2008 at the National Laboratory for Civil Engineering (Portugal), 2008–2011 as the Coordinator of Restoration Interventions in Cultural Heritage Buildings (Portugal), 2011–2022 at the Institute of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics of the Czech Academy of Sciences, and 2019–2022 as the Head of Laboratory of Material Analysis I.
The webinars series are organized by HS Academy in collaboration with the Joint Programming Initiative on Cultural Heritage and Global Change.
