CTinHS – 05 | Portable NMR for structural diagnostic in heritage science

On February 22nd, 2024, will be held the 5th Current Topic in Heritage Science at 3 pm (CET) on the ZOOM platform.

We’ll meet prof. Bernhard Blümich, cofounder and director of Magritek Ltd., a manufacturer of tabletop NMR spectrometers and the NMR-MOUSE and Chair of Macromolecular Chemistry at RWTH Aachen University.

Prof. Blümich will drive us to understand the macroscopic properties of polymer and porous materials including tangible cultural heritage by NMR on a microscopic and molecular basis, the focus of his work.

You will learn about nondestructive analysis techniques in this lecture and you can ask questions in the interactive session.

The meeting duration is broken down in:

  • 30 minutes presentation
  • 15 minutes Q&A interactive session

CTinHS – Current Topics in the Heritage Science series are organized by emerging professionals of HS Academy, a collaborative initiative between IPERION HS and E-RIHS.
