From December 1st to 3rd, 2025, the exhibition “Perceive Isis’ Colour” will be held at Manifattura Tabacchi in Florence, a journey to discover the mysteries of Pompeii’s color.
The exhibition, curated by the Archaeological Museum of Naples and the CNR ISPC is dedicated to the fragility of colors in the Temple of Isis in Pompeii.
The CNR ISPC – Institute of Heritage Science of the Italian National research Council, leads the Italian node of the European E-RIHS infrastructure, which has its hub at Manifattura Tabacchi.
In the context of this exhibition, ISPC’s researchers invite visitors to the laboratories for an immersive and interactive experience.
The exhibition features two surprising itineraries, which received the first international Digital Heritage 2025 award. Visitors will be able to experience firsthand the importance of color in Pompeii, the challenges of research and its reconstruction, and the mysteries of the rites that took place within the temple.
