The University of Malta is looking for a Teaching Associate and a Senior Teaching Associate in the Department of Conservation and Built Heritage within the Faculty for the Built Environment.
The candidates will help organize and coordinate a Master Programme (preceded by a Preparatory Year) in Conservation (Paintings) and will participate in the activities of the Department of Conservation and Built Heritage within the Faculty for the Built Environment.
The positions of Teaching Associate and Senior Teaching Associate are open to candidates in possession of at least a Master’s degree in the conservation of paintings on canvas, followed by a minimum of two years of professional experience in applied conservation of paintings. Additional training and/or experience in the conservation of wall paintings will be considered a plus.
The Department of Conservation and Built Heritage’s tasks are to focus on issues related to heritage, heritage science, and conservation. The Department fulfills its mandate through teaching, practical projects, and research within the fields of conservation and management of Cultural Heritage.
