E-RIHS will participate in the Europeana 2025 – Preserve, Protect, Reuse conference.

Europeana 2025 will take place on 11–12 June 2025 in Warsaw, under the patronage of the Polish Presidency of the Council of the European Union. The event is organised in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage of Poland, the National Institute of Cultural Heritage, and the POLIN Museum of the History of Polish Jews, which will host the conference.

The event will be held in a hybrid format, with online access available for remote participants and a programme of in-person activities taking place in Warsaw. The conference will focus on the themes of Preserve, Protect, Reuse, and aims to bring together professionals interested in the preservation, protection and reuse of digital cultural heritage, and in exploring the potential of the common European data space for cultural heritage.

The programme includes a variety of hands-on workshops, networking opportunities, and thematic sessions on topics such as AI for inclusive heritage, working with 3D collections, impact measurement, community engagement, and long-term access to digital content. A dedicated onsite Fair will also allow participants to learn more about initiatives and EU-funded projects active in the field of digital heritage.

Vania Virgili, Director General of E-RIHS ERIC, will join the conference as one of the speakers, contributing her perspective on research infrastructures and the role of international cooperation in heritage science.

Participants attending in person will have access to the POLIN Museum’s permanent exhibition and collections, as well as to guided cultural visits exploring Warsaw’s heritage and history.
