The Cyprus Institutewww.cyi.ac.cy, is being developed under the institutional umbrella of the Cyprus Research and Educational Foundation (CREF). The Institute is a world-class research and technology institution, carrying out pioneering research programs involving cutting-edge high throughput technologies, in order to address problems of regional as well as international significance. At the same time, it provides training for future researchers and scholars through its high quality doctoral programs. The CyI comprises three specialized multidisciplinary research centers: EEWRC-Energy, Environment and Water Research Center partnered with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT); CaSToRC-Computation-based Science and Technology Research Center partnered with the University of Illinois and STARC-Science and Technology in Archaeology Research Center.
STARC is the main center of CYI involved in E-RIHS PP. It is devoted to the development, introduction and use of advanced science and technologies in the field of archaeology, cultural heritage and history of the region, partnered with the ‘Centre de recherche et de restauration des musées de France’ (C2RMF).
